These rules apply to all players on all SHANTAJ servers and community spaces. Ignorance of the rules is not a valid defense. By connecting to the server, you agree to these terms.
General Rules
- Respect all players, admins, and spectators. Harassment, insults, and toxicity are not tolerated.
- Cheating of any kind (aimbot, wallhack, speed hack, lag scripts) results in a permanent ban without appeal.
- Do not exploit server bugs or map glitches to gain unfair advantages. Report them to an admin on Discord.
- Impersonating admins or other players is a punishable offense.
- Advertising other servers or communities in chat is forbidden.
- Any attempt to DDoS, crash, or otherwise disrupt the server results in a permanent IP ban.
HNS-Specific Rules
- Hunters must pursue hiders actively. Camping in spawn or at fixed points is prohibited.
- Hiders may not hide in unreachable areas or inside map geometry.
- Boost assists must be willing: boosting teammates without consent in competitive matches is a penalty.
- Knife fights during grace period are not allowed. Wait for the timer to expire.
- Spectators must not reveal hider positions in chat or voice (ghosting).
- Teams of more than 5 in a public lobby must split unless a mix is officially arranged.
Communication Rules
- Voice chat must be kept game-relevant during active rounds. Music, mic spam, and soundboards are prohibited.
- Chat must remain in English or Russian. Other languages are permitted in private messages.
- Excessive profanity or slurs in any language are grounds for a temporary mute or ban.
- Flooding the chat with repeated messages or commands (e.g., say spam) results in a gag.
- Reporting players via chat (e.g., "ban this guy") does not constitute a valid report. Use our Discord.
Punishment Guidelines
- Admins follow a tiered system: verbal warning, temporary kick, time-limited ban, permanent ban.
- The severity of the punishment scales with the severity and frequency of the offense.
- Bans issued for cheating, DDoS, or impersonation are permanent and non-negotiable.
- All other bans may be appealed on Discord within 7 days of issue with a valid explanation.
- Ban evasion (joining via alternate Steam account or IP) doubles the original punishment.
- Admin decisions are final during active play. Disputes may be raised on Discord after the session.
VIP Rules
- VIP status does not grant immunity from any rule. VIPs are held to the same standard as regular players.
- Abusing VIP features (e.g., revive spam, boost bot exploitation) results in VIP revocation without refund.
- VIP purchases are non-refundable once activated.
- VIP activation may take up to 12 hours after payment confirmation.
